Tenderloin Filet

Tenderloin Filet

Tenderloin Filet: A classy option for the most tender cut of beef you can have!

  • Recommended cooking technique: Grill, cast iron pan or reverse sear.
  • Cooking Time: Sear each side of the steak for 3-4 minutes, depending on thickness. Rest for at least 5 minutes on a cutting board or servicing plate.
  • Seasoning suggestions: Simple salt and pepper or your favorite steak rub.

How to cook the perfect filet:

  • Preheat your grill or cast-iron pan to medium-high heat.
  • Season your steaks liberally on both sides with salt and pepper, about 2 tsp of coarse kosher salt to 1 tsp of fresh cracked black pepper.
  • Sear steaks on side 1 for 3-4 minutes to create a crust! Don't move the steak around as this happens; trust the process.
  • Flip the steak and sear on side 2 for an additional 3-4 minutes or until your desired doneness is reached.
  • Use an internal temp thermometer to read 125 degrees for medium rare.
  • Pull steaks aside and rest for at least 5 minutes before slicing into them.
